My Pool is Black!

Black Algae usually forms in cracks and crevices on pool surfaces. It forms a skeletal growth on top to protect itself, which normal levels of chlorine cannot defeat. To treat black algae, the pool owner must brush vigorously before applying chemical treatment in order to eliminate the protective coating.
